I've been working on some artist playlist blog posts for Etsy Dallas, so I thought I would share my own playlist with you! When I'm knitting, I like to listen to music that calms me down and doesn't distract me from counting stitches. Here are some of my go-to albums:
1. The Very Best of Nat King Cole
2. Blossom Dearie
3. Sinatra - Nothing But the Best
4. Fred Astaire's Finest Hour
Yes. It's true. I'm an old woman, but I don't care!! I love these songs! They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
What do you like to listen to/watch when you are being crafty? I'd love to know!
Also, we have a winner for last week's fox pin giveaway from Mariet Vosloo! Congratulations GiddyStuff!

It depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Sometimes it's Coldplay, John Mayer or Bon Iver. Other times it's the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Yes, I am a nerd...a proud one. :)
ReplyDeleteI love how color coordinated that top photo is. Grey, red, and turquoise is one of my favorite color combinations.
ReplyDeleteI've been working my way through different TV series. Pillars of the Earth, Merlin, Robin Hood, North and South have all been really excellent.
And as for music, Grizzly Bear and Broadcast have been current favorites.
I came to your blog via Scoutie Girl... and I found that you like Blossom Dearie! I recently brought the album Little Jazz Bird as I was drawn to the cute cover. Great album indeed.
ReplyDeleteCurrently my knitting tunes have taken a folk path.. are Emily Portman (think a folk storyteller) & the Trembling Bells (psych-folk).
I love this post. It's very relaxing AND I LOVE that teal pillow! I saw it at Urban Outfitters a while back and which I had bought it and brought it with me to Australia. Super cute!
ReplyDeleteI love this post, too! Sinatra is great. I used to just plug in my headphones and sew, but now i have a little one running around and I listen to kid music most of the time! Maybe when he starts school I'll be able to listen to some good tunes. I love your blog so much. I'm really jealous of your Diana camera. I have a Holga, but I hate the color. They're so bright and early 90's. I'm thinking about painting it. DO you have bloglovin?
ReplyDeleteAhh, nevermind, found the bloglovin' button. And your Twitter...totally stalking you now.
ReplyDeleteSo excited about Fox brooch, tried to DM you but having trouble doing it, will message you on Etsy.
ReplyDeleteI usually watch Project Runway while I knit and sew.
I love Franky!
ReplyDelete:-)
I listen to things that will get me into a good mood. Like Nicki Minaj or My Chemical Romance. Loud is good, lyrical genius is better. Anything that will cancel out all the ruckus that happens in my house on the daily.
ReplyDeleteMy Sailor Tom brooch has arrived and it is wonderful! Thank you for running the giveaway x
