Lately, I've been really thinking about Instagram and why I love using it so much. I don't use it to share every piece of my life. I like to save it for the extra special, colorful moments, that might have passed by overlooked and unappreciated. With school coming to an end and my stress levels at the highest I've ever experienced, it's nice to have a little photo diary of the wonderful times that come between my frequent moments of panic. From noticing a cute bicycle in front of a new shop in town to a row of beautiful cake slices at the grocery store, I try to appreciate the beauty in the little things. If I didn't and focused too much on the stress, I would not be a very happy lady.
This week left me especially drained. There are so many thoughts running through my head at all hours of the day that it leaves me feeling empty by the end of the week. When I look at my to-do list and the fact that I have three weeks to get it all accomplished, I start searching for a paper bag to breathe in....and out....
That's why I'm so thankful for the ability to collect happy moments like shopping for my graduation dress and listening to records between class. I'm not going to lie, quite a few tears have been shed and I'm sure there are more to come as the weeks continue to fly by. I just need to remember the good things like knitting, blogging, and sleeping in on Saturday mornings. :)
Here's to a happy weekend for all of us! I hope you have a little time to relax and take a few deep breaths.

I understand you!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy life feels the same; so little time and so much to do. But I really love reading your blog and looking at your wonderful photos. It makes me happy!

I have been there and it is not easy. Try to focus on the freedom and peace you will have when it's all over!!It's an amazing feeling to get it done, and you will be kicking back with tea and buns before you know it ;)
ReplyDeleteAll you can do is take a day at a time, MINUTE at a time if you have to. These next few weeks will be stressful, yes, but they'll fly by so quickly and before you know it, you'll be lookin back on all this from some cute cafe in Europe thinking, "Wow. It's over, I survived, I am awesome!" You've got this ladybird, just keep breathing. Onetwothreepeaceful, as I always say, haha (:
ReplyDeleteThank you Jessica! You are so right! :)
DeletePS those dresses are GORGEOUS.

DeleteLovely pictures. They make me happy:)
ReplyDeleteLife can get so hectic sometimes and seem overwhelming when there is so many things we want to accomplish. I think sometimes we put too many demands on ourselves. Try to relax a bit and drink lots of tea...tea always helps in any situation! Take care!

Beautiful photos! I love that pink peter pan collared dress in that last picture, adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou have a gift for taking pleasure in the small things of life, which will surely see you through the difficult times. I'm long past those stressful years of higher education but I'm reliving it through my daughters who are both revising for exams. It's not easy but it passes. And tea helps!
ReplyDeletei love seeing your pictures on instagram--they are always so pretty:) as for the stress, know that it won't last forever. graduation is just around the corner!
ReplyDeleteI remember the many tears in the final weeks of school. It will be over so soon and then you won't have any more homework and tests to worry about. Just keep it up. You're doing great.
ReplyDeleteWell done you are coping the perfect way, not many people take time out to notice the beauty and special things that surround us. Good luck with your last few weeks and enjoy your graduation :-)
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your Instagram photos and this post makes them even more special. I'm glad you're able to find a few happy moments during this challenging period. The end of a school year (and program especially) can be extrodinarily stressful but can create such good memories. I love thinking back to the end of my college program and remembering how hard I worked to get through it. It reminds me that I am capable of doing the things I set out to do.
ReplyDeleteThank you Chantilly. I really appreciate your encouragement and perspective! I wish I could give each one of you a hug on the day I graduate. :)
DeleteLife can certainly pile up can't it? I always find myself lost in a whirlwind and by the time I get out a few months have passed! Best wishes on keeping everything in line!
