Weekend Plans 4/20 - 4/22

I wish I could give this weekend a hug. The past few days just would not give me a break...I stayed up way to late working every night, got lost while driving after a long day, pulled over and broke down crying, and found out that two of my final papers are both due on the same day. Ugh. A few good things happened this week too. I had to go see one of the Dallas Film Festival movies for a class, so I officially went on my second solo movie date! I feel like such a pro now. ;)

This is why I am so very happy for the weekend. In between papers and what not, I plan to...

- Wear my cozy socks because it is surprisingly chilly and cloudy outside right now. My favorite weather!
- I hope to have time to work on a knit bow ring tutorial that I toyed around with last weekend. I plan on putting some in my Etsy shop too!
- My mind is so full that I need more than my "one line a day" journal to pour everything that I'm thinking. I just have the writing itch, so I decided to get a new, shiny, red journal to hold all of this buzzing in my brain.
- At Barnes & Noble this afternoon, I found a few books to read on my trip to England and Paris! This one, Paris My Sweet, looks like it will make me especially hungry for croissants and macarons. Planning and dreaming about this trip will definitely help as I make my way through the next few weeks. I am so excited!!!!
- To accompany this cool weather, I think I will bake a batch of raspberry oat squares. Mmm.

That's all, that's it! I hope you all have some wonderful weekend plans too! Anything exciting happening over the next few days?

Enjoy the weekend!

  1. Your weekend plans always sound so relaxing and nice.

Also, hi! I don't think I've ever commented before but I've been following your blog for a while now and never realized until just now how similar we are! we love all of the same music and I did the exact same thing when I was in high school - bought the friday night knitting club, went to Michael's and bought supplies then watched youtube vids! haha. I knit sometimes when I really feel the urge, it can be relaxing, which I'm sure you know.
Anyway, I love your blog:) It's a joy to read

  2. Hello Sheepish!
Your weekend plans sound nice, and I hope they help you recover from what sounds like a tough week. Just working planned for me, but I work at a Redenta's Garden Center so I adore my job! Maybe planting up some containers at home around the pool... and perhaps some beer bread-makin' may be in my near future. :)

I found you blog through mollie makes, I enjoy it VERY much and love to read of a fiber-extraordinaire here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! I can only crochet, but you inspire me to keep up the knitting attempts! :)

  10. Really love your weekend-plan-pictures, and your blog in general. : )

As my weekend is now over, I can share what actually happened: looked at a crappy apartment and was very happy to find out I don't have to move!, choose not to attend a meeting and regretted it, went to another meeting reluctantly and was pleasantly surprised, met a really nice girl, found your blog, went running, and of course - had lots of cups of tea and knitted!

  11. I'm really glad that you're enjoying journaling. I have a line-a-day journal and then another one that I use as a combo scrapbook and journal. I put ticket stubs in and other small things. I have an entire box of journals in my attic that I've filled! I worked this weekend. As an RN, I have to work every other weekend and Saturday/Sunday have taken on a very different meaning. On my days off this week, though, I plan to do more planting and finish The Dew Breaker by Edwidge Danticat.
