Happy Friday! I definitely enjoyed this first week of October. I have a new outlook on the month ahead and it feels good. Bonus: a cool front is coming in tonight and it is actually going to be chilly tomorrow. Bring on the 50 degree temperatures! I have lots of cozy plans...
- I'm ready to wear my first sweater of the season. Sweaters are just so comforting. Oh, and polkadot socks too. :)
- For the month of October I signed up to take an online photo class through Nicole's Classes. I started watching the videos and reading the assignments this week and I already feel like I've learned so much. It's really informative and includes a lot of information that is useful for both digital and film cameras. I have a few photos to take for homework this weekend. I'm pretty sure that is the best kind of homework I've ever had.
- Oh, the UFO (Unfinished Object). I have plenty of them, that's for sure. I've been going back and forth for weeks on picking a new crochet or knit project but for some reason I just haven't started one yet. I was looking through my UFO cabinet the other day and saw a sad sweater that I started...gulp...three years ago. It looked so sad sitting there all alone, just waiting for me to pick it up. So, I'm doing the unheard of, and picking up where I left off on that sweater. It will be so rewarding when I actually finish it! Do you have a lot of UFO's floating around your room too?
- Since cooler temperatures are coming to town this weekend I thought it would be the perfect time to check off one of my October goals and make some homemade lasagna. I decided to mix and knead the pasta dough this afternoon so it will be ready to assemble for dinner tomorrow. Fingers crossed it all comes together!
That's about it! I think I am going to a handmade market tomorrow afternoon if the rain chances hold off for a little while.
I hope you have a great weekend too! What are you planning?

Sounds like a great weekend to me. Whooohooo for some fall weather finally rolling in.
ReplyDeleteI have a few UFOs lying around. Also, way too many USOs (aka unstarted objects)... oh, where to begin??
Ah, love how your socks match your sweater!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for Winter Woolies Weather too!

That sounds like an awesome weekend. My plans This weekend include pumpkin carving and some homework and well need sleep. I also have to watch You've Got Mail because I haven't had the opportunity this Fall season.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of UFOs! In the past year I have finished THREE that were over 3 years old. The sad thing is, most of them only needed the finishing done, so 1-2 hours work...
ReplyDeleteI bet your lasagna is going to taste amazing!
Hello, Meredith! I stumbled across your blog this morning and have enjoyed nosing around. I especially like your tutorials..so fun. Then I just saw your post for today and read that you had cool weather moving in, so I looked at your profile because I had a sneaking suspicion were were close. Yup! I'm in Allen, just north of Dallas & Plano. I've been in the Dallas Metroplex for over 30 years now. So howdy, neighbor! Love the blog. Come visit mine if you get a chance. I'm an avid crocheter and blogger too.
ReplyDeleteHi Pammy! It's nice to meet a fellow North Dallas resident! Thank you so much for stopping by. :)
