Knitting // I just want to wrap up in a blanket knit with this amazing Loopy Mango merino wool.
Crochet // I'm pretty sure I've posted about Susanna Bauer's amazing crochet leaves before, but I am still in awe each time I see a new creation. I can only imagine the amount of time and patience it takes to add a crochet edge to each leaf.
Etsy // This caribou tea towel from Gingiber is perfect for the holidays.
Style // Annija's photography is simply stunning. I love everything about these photos...the leaves, the tights, and the beautiful coat.
Art // Donald Chaffin's illustrations for Fantastic Mr. Fox make me smile and remind me that I need to see the movie version as soon as possible.
Food // Mmm...this carrot and apple loaf cake recipe from The Best Remedy sounds like an amazing combination of fall flavors. Oh, and it's topped off with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. Wow.I planned on walking and talking my way through some nearby trails with a dear friend this afternoon. Unfortunately, the rain moved our plans indoors so I decided to take an imaginary forest walk on the Blush List today. ;)
I had a wonderful weekend working on new items for the shop and playing with my sweater makeover. It is coming along nicely! Hopefully I will be able to share the finished results soon. This week I am looking forward to planning our Thanksgiving menu and picking up my packet for the Turkey Trot 5k. I can't believe Thanksgiving is only a week away!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

I saw a video recently where a knitter was making a blanket with giant yarn. I was wondering where you found yarn that big... now I know. If you were interested, here is the video:

I would curl up in that blanket and never get out! It looks too comfortable :P
ReplyDeleteYou really do need to see Fantastic Mr. Fox. It is a bit different from the book (of course), but it's ridiculously charming. It's hilarious and a bit awkward, and it's one of my favorite animated movies ever. :)

Oh wow, that Loopy Mango yarn is amazing. O.o I desperately wish I could reach through the screen and touch it, it looks soooo soft! The caribou tea towel, and that illustration both make me smile - I love animals. Squeeee!
ReplyDeleteAnd finally, I think I'll attempt that loaf cake... A baker I am not (though I wish I were) but even that is worth risking a burn. XD
I was skeptical about Fantastic Mr. Fox, it didn't seem to start out that well; but it did turn out to be surprisingly good (and funny)! Mind you, I haven't read the book, but now I think I really should. That illustration is simply charming.
ReplyDeletexox,
bonita of Depict This!
You must try and see the movie of Fantastic Mr. Fox Meredith, its fabulous. I love that vintage book illustration, oh and those crochet leaves, my goodness, how on earth did she make tiny holes in the leaves? xox Thanks for sharing, Penelope
ReplyDeleteThat fall photography is gorgeous & the cake looks so delicious.
ReplyDeleteLook at those ginormous knitting needles!! How intimidating lol
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked about the size of that yarn. Are those needles even legal to purchase? they look HUGE... like a spear almost :D but a blanket out of that huge chunkiness sounds awesome. And the carrot and apple cake sounds really tempting.. although I already baked two cakes this weekend :(
ReplyDeleteAmazing blush list, as always! :) Also found the crochet leafs on pinterest a while ago. So beautiful work! :) :)
ReplyDeleteThe cake looks so yummy! ;)
I've just stumbled across your blog and what a happy stumble it was! A lovely post, I'm looking forward to more! :)
