In spite of this week's blush list inspiration, I've never really enjoyed lemon with my tea. I usually add a squeeze of honey. However, my grandfather is devoted to his hot tea with lemon. He even orders it out to eat at restaurants. He simply asks for "a cup of hot water with lemon" because he always has a trusty bag of tea in his shirt pocket. Clearly my tea obsession is genetic.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I tried my best to enjoy this wave of warm weather in Dallas by having lunch outside and trying Velvet Taco for the first time. The tacos are so good! I also worked on a few projects, baked some pumpkin bread, watched Parenthood on Netflix, and enjoyed an extra hour of sleep thanks to the time change.
A slice of pumpkin bread and a cup of tea sounds like the perfect way to end the weekend and start a new week. What did you do this weekend?

I've never tried hot tea with lemon either. I'm a honey girl all the way, but now I'll have to give a squeeze of lemon a try.

ReplyDeleteI have a really awesome tea shop between my house and the train station (so I walk past it almost every day), and they sell the most delicious blends of black tea.
They have a lemon twist tea which is fantastic.
It takes all the hassle out of adding your own lemon.
That tea cup pocket is so cute. It looks easy enough to recreate too. It would be really cute on a dishcloth, or on a cup cozy.
I love the crochet pot holders. I've been trying to get more as we currently have only one(!) at my apartment, and I saw the crochet stitch for pot holders on pinterest earlier.
