Knitting // I love the shape of this knit Notknot pillow.
Crochet // These crochet flower pads from La Casita de Wendy have such a unique shape.
Etsy // Such a sweet winter tote bag from Created by Hannah.
Style // The Whitepepper always has such lovely knitwear like this mint jumper and this fluffy cardigan.
Art // Lan Truong's illustrations are so vibrant and colorful.
Food // This sea salt honey butter popcorn recipe from The Fauxmartha sounds like a yummy New Year's Eve snack!Even though it is typically a springtime palette, I am loving all of the beautiful winter pastels this season. I bought a light blue coat earlier this fall and it is both cozy and cheerful to wear on a cold day. I need to look around for some pretty pastel yarns for winter knitting.
This weekend was wonderful. It was great spending time with family and extending the Christmas holiday by a few days. Side note: I am almost finished with Grace Coddington's memoir and I love it. I definitely recommend it if you are interested in fashion and looking for a new book to read. Are you reading anything interesting at the moment? A weekend filled with lots of family time and reading is pretty much perfect to me. I am just enjoying the rest of my break and preparing for exciting new projects coming this year. I went a little notebook crazy at Target earlier this week because a new year needs new organizational supplies! Haha. How do you usually prepare for a new year?
Happy Sunday to you!

I agree winter pastels are my favourite too :)
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned a while ago that The Great Gatsby is one of your favorite books. It's been on my mind for a while and I've finally picked it up. I know absolutely nothing about it so it's super exciting!
ReplyDeleteOh I love The Great Gatsby! I hope you love it too. Have you seen the new trailer for the movie? I am so excited about it! :)
DeleteI love popcorn, and that recipe sounds yummy! Perfect for NYE. Hope you have a great New Year's. I'm working tomorrow, but can't wait to cuddle with my pups and welcome in the New Year with a bit of bubbly and, now, some popcorn. :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds great Erica! Happy New Year to you! :)
DeleteThe Notknot pillows are so cool! I also love the oversized cardigan. I can't wait to see what winter pastel colors you use in your knitting. :)
ReplyDeleteYummy, I'm going to make some of that popcorn tonight, what a way to ring in the New Year

Loving that mint cardigan. I spotted one like it in Joy last week - not sure if you have Joy in the US...? I'm reading Jon Ronson's 'Psychopath Test' just now, I'm a big fan of his stuff. Definitely recommend it. Have a wonderful time celebrating the New Year! x
ReplyDeleteThanks for the book recommendation! I don't think we have Joy in the US but I love their site!
DeleteHappy New Year Siobhan!
I love that pillow but in that pinky color, all I can see is intestines! :P
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the girl wearing a bright sweater over a patterned dress. I got a ton of bright sweaters for Christmas and don't always feel like paring them with skinny jeans. This is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry if my english is bad, I am from Germany. saying what is on the bag (which words)? I cant read it. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe bag says "It's super chilly" :)
DeleteThat pillow and mitten bag are just too cute! Hope you have a good new years :)

pastels are my favorite to knit and wear! i love this lil roundup, happy new year sweet Meredith!
ReplyDeleteDear Meredith:
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for including the flowers I made for La casita de Wendy in your blush list. Such a wonderful surprise :)
I'm currently reading Lady Almina & Highclere Castle (or a title something along those lines :). It's the true story of Downton Abbey. :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm in the middle of reading 1984 (wow George Orwell, you're too talented), and Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight, a memoir of an English girl growing up in war-torn Rhodesia/Zimbabwe. I recommend all three books, depending on what genre you're into.
And ohmygosh I know all about going notebook crazy at Target!! :) Haha when they're in the dollar section, it's the best day ever!
