It's nice to see that I am not the only one inspired by sweaters! The warm feeling I get when wearing a cozy knit never gets old. My overstuffed sweater drawer exists as "Exhibit A" of the previous statement. You can never have too many sweaters, right?
These lovely pieces of sweater art kept popping up around the internet the past few weeks and I wanted to share them with my fellow sweater-lovers. It's hard to pick a favorite! Dallas is expecting some really cold weather next week and I plan on wearing as many sweaters as possible.
"Wear as many sweaters as possible"...that is definitely an achievable New Year's resolution. ;)
Can you pick a favorite? Are you enjoying sweater weather in your part of the world?

I definitely share your love for sweaters...
ReplyDeleteAll the art is fabulous! My favourite is the cards from Brooklyn Tweed.

ReplyDeleteThis is a fab collection and it has inspired me to take a trip to the V&A soon, it's a great place to get the creative cogs moving.
ReplyDeleteaaaargh, can't pick just one :)

Oh my, I love the sweater cards! But it's a bit hard to appreciate sweaters (or jumpers as we call them) in Australia right now though. It's going to be over 100ºF here tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLove the sweater embroidery!
ReplyDeleteIts been sweater weather here since October (up here in northern Canada). And I dont expect to be sporting a tshirt until late April. Good thing I like sweaters too =)
Yay sweater art!! You should check out Noelle Stevenson's Feral Sweater People (for example: http://gingerhaze.tumblr.com/post/33576639732/on-the-upside-todays-warmup-was-a-feral-sweater), I think you'd get a kick out of them!
ReplyDeleteAs a Canadian, I must admit that my sweater addiction is pretty deeply entrenched. I think at one time I easily had more than 50 knitted sweaters. I had to downsize when I moved out on my own, but I don't think I knocked it down too much. . . Yup, Crazy Sweater-Wearing Canadian here :)
love all of these prints. I also love the embroidered sweater. So detailed.
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many sweaters ^_^
ReplyDeleteLovely post!
Great and fun collection of sweater art Meredith! I LOVE the embroidered art, that is such great craftswomanship. I'd love to buy some of the other prints to send as birthday cards - one of my new years' resolutions is to send each of my friends a card in the post for their birthday :) Happy New Year! Katie. X
ReplyDeleteThese are so inspiring! I've resorted to a sweater cabinet...my drawers are just too tiny :)
ReplyDeleteI 'm loving your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the one with the woman and her cat!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I live a good jumper too (sorry, sweater, I'm British). Unfortunately I on account of being all allergic to wool I can't wear all the lovely vintage patterned jumpers I find. I have to sell them in my shop instead...reluctantly. Now I have the answer, I'll just keep things with jumpers on them instead!
ReplyDeleteI love the jumper cards.
love the illustration! :)

AH! I love this sweater art! You reminded me of this blog post I wrote ages ago about sweaters! There was this great program on CBC Radio that was all about sweaters one day in particular and it prompted me to write this post (http://www.bytheporchlight.com/2012/03/cozied-up.html) b/c it was so fun!
