I've been wanting to try this myself for some time now, but I'm a bit worried that the bulb gets to hot! I know that with the new kind of bulbs that won't happen. The new kind of christmas lights don't get hot as well... but my parents drilled that in my head... DON'T PUT ANYTHING OVER A LAMP! YOU COULD START A FIRE!!!

I love this so much! It reminds me so much of the '70s! My kindergarten teacher made each student a Christmas card holder that looked exactly like this. Ahh, it takes me back. :)

Oh, my goodness. I'm totally doing this. My wee kids share a room, and the lampshade is looking a little ragged. That and it's a little too pastel-y girly for my son. Now, I can put some manly yarn on it instead of buying a new one! Awesome! Thanks!

I went through all of your bloging through confidence posts today. So encouraging. I am not brave at all. Today I wore a pin on my shirt and I breathed a sigh of releaf when I walked through the door after work and I wore it all day and did not have a negative comment.

I think your voice is lovely, and coming from someone who get the "you sound like a cartoon character" comment all the time I can relate. I actually have never "met" someone who thinks they sound like minnie mouse. It put a big smile on my face!
